Haridwar, 20 April (HS). After the smooth completion of the Lok Sabha elections in the district, on Saturday, the observer appointed by the Election Commission, Lochan Sehra, conducted assembly-wise scrutiny at the election system center, Kendriya Vidyalaya. This includes scrutiny of diaries of booths with the highest number of votes and the lowest number of votes, assembly wise. During scrutiny, all the information and procedures were found to be correct. The Observer inspected the strong room built for the security of the voting machines and got them sealed.
Observer Lochan Sehra and District Election Officer Dhiraj Singh Garbyal congratulated all the Assistant Returning Officers for conducting peaceful and uninterrupted voting. All assembly wise strong rooms were sealed in the presence of candidates and their representatives. For security reasons, EVM machines have been kept in double lock. EVMs will remain under constant CCTV surveillance. CCTV control room has been made for monitoring through CCTV. Central Armed Police Force has been deployed to protect the strong room.
