The sacred festivals fall in the months of Chet and Assu. Before knowing about Naratsa in detail, if we understand its word aspect then it will be easier to understand the subject and its scientific aspect. The word Navratri is made up of two words – “Nav and Ratar”. Nav also means new and can also be considered as 'nine'. Ratri means night, Tadish is an indicator of time and achievements. The season starts with Shadal Basanti Samvatsar Chetar Shukla Pratipada and the sidereal winter Samvatsar starts with Asu Shukla Pratipada. The nine days after the two Samvatsaras written above are known as Narat.
If we study these stories, there are only two seasons in our entire year (although there are six seasons) winter and summer. These festivals come twice a year and are the junction of two seasons. When Chet Narata comes we get relief from the harsh cold. When tears come we get relief from the scorching heat. Weather not only affects the world's trees, plants, water, sky and atmosphere, it also has a deep impact on our health. Even before the onset of heat, the blood accumulated over the past several months begins to boil in the body.
It has a deep impact not only on blood but also on the three doshas that make up our body – Vata, Kapha and Pitta. It is said in Ayurveda that if Vata, Kapha and Pitta are present in equal quantity in our body then our body is healthy. If these are in bad condition then we suffer from diseases. That is why all kinds of diseases surround a person even before he becomes conscious and unconscious. With a certain diet, these Vata, Kapha and Pitta come into the same state. This means that in the last months there has been a disparity in all three charges.
To bring them in the same condition, out of nine days, the first three days are Vata, the next three days are Pitta, and the last three days are Kapha. When we fast, these defects go away because by fasting the stomach is empty and the fire in the stomach needs something to digest. When increased Vata, Pitta and Kapha come and cause burning sensation in the stomach, not only these defects but also the diseases arising from them are eliminated. The energy generated from these does not allow us to feel weak during fasting and our body is able to withstand heat or cold for the next six months. The arrival of Narata is the body's preparation for the next 6 months of health. For example, a farmer prepares the field before sowing rubber and saffron crops so that the yield of his crop is good and healthy. That is why our sages have specifically mentioned fasting for nine days during these months to keep the body completely healthy. Our Navratri rituals are scientifically based and there is no doubt about it. The tradition of Narata should be continued to the next generation. All rituals should be performed correctly and with devotion.
Worship Saraswati for enlightenment
On the first three days, worship Saraswati for enlightenment, on the next three days worship Lakshmi for wealth and on the last three days worship Durga for power. These nine nights, five Mahabhutas and four inner four, out of which the entire nature is made up, are the nine forms of Durga in the language of seekers. There is a tradition in our scriptures of reciting mantras on a total of nine days and two times in a year i.e. nine Chet Narates and nine Assu Narates, a total of 18 times. ,
