Nadiad, 9 November (Hindustan Reporter). Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, in the Lakshminarayan Dev Bicentenary Festival being celebrated at Vadtal Dham, requested the Hari devotees to follow the Shiksha Patri written by Lord Swaminarayan. He said that one should try to fulfill his duties with full devotion and the benefit of religious service should be at the center. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released a postal stamp of Rs 5 on the Bicentenary Festival.
The Chief Minister said that today Mangal Utsav is being celebrated in Vadtal Dham, under which the heritage of preservation of religion, rituals and culture has been presented by combining it with the modern dimensions of the present times. This fulfills the Prime Minister's vision of 'heritage as well as development'. While wishing all Hari devotees a happy new year, Patel said that Lord Swaminarayan had built the Lakshminarayan Dev temple on this sacred land of Charotar 200 years ago. Today this festival is so grand that we realize how divine it must have been when Lord Swaminarayan established Shri Lakshminarayan Temple on this land. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that with national interest first and social welfare in mind, all Hari devotees will fulfill the resolve of a developed India.
Giving blessings, Acharya Rakesh Prasad Maharaj of the organization said that the Laxminarayan Dev Bicentenary Festival expresses the spirit of service and dedication of millions of Hari devotees. Hari devotees have expressed wonderful feelings by doing even the smallest service to the sect. Giving good wishes, he said that Chief Minister Patel's government is doing work in the public interest and may people be inspired to do more work in the future and may everyone be blessed. On this occasion, 1008 Vallabh Kulbhushan Dwarkeshlal Ji Maharaj also gave blessings. Nautam Swami, head of Satsang Mahasabha, gave detailed information about the social service work done by Vadtal Temple. He said that operations worth about Rs 100 crore have been done free of cost in Vadtal Hospital. MP Dev Singh Chauhan, MLA Pankaj Desai, Sanjay Singh Mahida, Kalpesh Parmar, Rajesh Jhala, Saint Nityaswaroop Swami, Gyan Jeevan Swami and a large number of saints, mahants, Hari devotees from India and abroad, political and social leaders were present in the programme.
