Bahraich, 21 September (HS). Families affected by human-wildlife conflict under Tehsil Mahsi will be benefited from all the schemes of the government.
District Magistrate Monika Rani has given instructions to the officers of the concerned department during a meeting held in this regard late on Saturday evening. She said that on-site verification should be done to see whether the affected families are getting the benefits of the departmental schemes or not.
During verification, information should also be obtained whether the concerned family members have received government compensation in case of loss of life or injury to humans and animals in human-wildlife conflict. If compensation has been received, its full details and in case of non-receipt, the reasons should also be mentioned.
The DM directed the Divisional Forest Officer to make arrangements for providing doors and bamboo screens in the houses and huts of the families affected by human-wildlife conflict. He said that cooperation should also be sought from saw machine owners for this work.
