Heavy rain alert India: This year the monsoon showed great kindness across the country. Rivers and ponds were filled to the brim and people got relief from the scorching heat. Usually, by the time December comes, the rainy season stops, but it seems this time the mood of the weather is different.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a big warning, according to which, the weather is going to change again in many states of the country in the last four days of the year i.e. from 28 to 31 December. At some places there will be heavy rain, while at other places deadly cold and dense fog will wreak havoc.

Clouds will rain again in South India

  • Kerala: It seems as if the rain is not stopping here. The Meteorological Department says that between December 28 and 31, there may once again be heavy rains and strong winds in many areas of the state. There is also a danger of water logging.
  • Tamil Nadu: Light rain was continuing here too, but now a warning of torrential rain and storm has been issued.

There is alert of heavy rain in these states also

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather may worsen not only in the South but also in many other parts of the country in these four days. Heavy rain is likely in these states:

  • Himachal Pradesh
  • Uttarakhand
  • Karnataka
  • Jammu and Kashmir
  • Andaman and Nicobar
  • Puducherry

The administration has been asked to remain alert in all these areas.

People of Rajasthan, get ready for the ‘temperance’ of cold!

This time there was good rain in Rajasthan, but now the cold is about to show its true nature. IMD has warned that there will be a sharp drop in temperature in many districts of the state between December 28 and 31. There can be such dense fog in the morning that even driving on the roads will become difficult. There is even a warning of cold wave in some districts.

  • Avoid traveling unnecessarily in areas where there is an alert of heavy rain or fog.
