Jaipur, August 14 (HS). Heavy rains occurred in Jaipur, Nagaur and Jodhpur on Wednesday. The highest rainfall of 104 mm was recorded in Nagaur. On Wednesday, moderate to heavy rains were recorded in about 14 cities including Jaipur. Due to heavy rains, roads in Jaipur, Nagaur and Jodhpur turned into rivers. At many places, water entered shops in the markets. From August 17, the rains in the state will start slowing down.

According to the Water Resources Department, 90 mm rainfall was recorded in Tinwari of Jodhpur, 88 mm in Bapini of Phalodi, 60 mm in Bansur of Kotputli-Bahrod, 66 mm in Laxmangarh of Sikar and 51 mm in Alwar.

Director of Meteorological Center Radheshyam Sharma said that the circulation system is located over north-eastern Rajasthan and is spread up to 5.8 km from the surface and the monsoon trough line is passing through Bikaner. Due to the effect of this system, there is a strong possibility of heavy and sometimes very heavy rains in some parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Kota divisions on 14-15 August. There is a possibility of reduction in rain activities in eastern Rajasthan after 17 August. There is a strong possibility of moderate to sometimes heavy rains with strong thunder and lightning in some parts of Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions of western Rajasthan in the next 3-4 days. There is a possibility of light to moderate rains in some parts of Udaipur division in the coming days. Heavy rains have been recorded at some places in Alwar and Karauli districts on Tuesday. The highest rainfall in eastern Rajasthan has been recorded in Mundawar (Alwar) at 92 mm and Pokhran Jaisalmer in western Rajasthan at 55 mm. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 38 degrees in Sriganganagar and the highest minimum temperature was recorded at 28.6 degrees in Barmer.

Due to heavy rains in Jaipur, roads turned into rivers, administration on alert mode

There was drizzle in Jaipur in the morning. After this, the sun shone from the scattered clouds for some time. In the afternoon, dark clouds covered the sky and darkness prevailed. After this, a period of heavy and moderate rain started in different parts of the city along with winds. Due to heavy rain, the city roads were flooded and the roads became rivers. Due to heavy rain, the corporation, JDA and district administration came on alert mode. All the teams remained in the field during the rain and tried to provide relief to the common people. The repair work of damaged roads of the city by JDA and corporation is also going on. Underpasses including Nandpuri, Lalkothi in the city were flooded. Police stopped the traffic for some time after the underpasses were filled with water. Drivers had to face trouble due to waterlogging on the roads. About 50 mm of rain was recorded in Jaipur from Tuesday evening to Wednesday evening. The maximum temperature of Jaipur was recorded at 32 and the minimum temperature at 26 degrees.

14 cm water came in Bisalpur, gauge of Triveni decreased

Continuous rain continues in the state. On Wednesday, 14 cm of water arrived in Bisalpur. The water level of Bisalpur dam increased from 312.56 to 312.70 RL meter. The water level of Triveni has decreased. The water level of Triveni was recorded at 2.70 meters on Wednesday.
