New Delhi: The continuously increasing cold in Delhi-NCR has taken a new turn with the rain. The rain that started this morning has further intensified the effect of cold. It has been raining in many areas of the national capital since early morning. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of vigilance in view of the possibility of dense fog and drop in temperature.

Rain alert in Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Gujarat

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Gujarat on Friday.

  • Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh:
    • There is a possibility of hailstorm on Friday and Saturday.
    • Heavy rain and thundershowers may occur in many areas.

Dense fog and rain likely in UP

There is a possibility of fog, rain and hailstorm in many parts of Uttar Pradesh from December 27 to January 1.

  • 27 December:
    • Shallow to moderate fog may cover many areas.
    • Western Uttar Pradesh:
      • Possibility of strong winds at the speed of 30-40 km per hour.
  • 28 December:
    • Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Etah, Agra, Firozabad:
      • Rain and hailstorm alert.
    • Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Kanpur, Bijnor:
      • Strong winds and rain.
  • 29-30 December:
    • The weather will remain dry but moderate fog may occur in the morning and late night.
