Mumbai: The year 2024 has proved inauspicious for Akshay Kumar. This year, the earnings of films made with a budget of Rs 535 crore have been barely 55%. The condition of the producers who invested heavily in Akshay’s big name has become bad.
The film flopped to such an extent that the producers could not pay their actors and other crew members in full and had to sell off some properties. One of the biggest budget films of the year, this film did not run even for two days in theatres.
Akshay’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ made with a budget of Rs 100 crore and ‘Sarfira’ made with a budget of Rs 85 crore have also proved to be a complete flop. Akshay Kumar is stuck in the formula of action films or even biopics. He had a definite fan base that would go to watch any of his poor films. But, this class is now extinct. A few years ago, producers were ready to spend money on Akshay’s film.
But, now he has become a dangerous actor from the box office point of view.
