Mumbai: Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's film 'Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan' has managed to reach the collection of Rs 50 crore in the first weekend. After this film 'Samrat Prithviraj', Akshay is likely to prove to be another mega flop. This has put a question mark on Akshay's career.
This film was released on 2500 screens keeping in mind the Eid holidays. At one time Akshay's film used to take an opening of Rs 25 to 30 crores on the first day itself. In fact, the film barely earned Rs 12 to 15 crores on the first day. According to trade circles, this figure was also due to corporate bookings as the occupancy in theaters was barely 35 to 50 percent. After this, the film's earnings are stable on Saturday and Sunday also. Even on a day like Sunday, the theater was barely 20 percent full in the afternoon show. There is a fear that this film will prove to be a big disaster. The highest earning of this film is from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR. But the film has flopped in Mumbai, Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
In the last two-three years, Akshay has hardly given any hit film. His 'Samrat Prithviraj' was also made on a huge budget and failed at the box office within two-four days.
