Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav often attacks CM Yogi’s decisions and style on social media. This time he shared a video of the Chief Minister, in which Yogi Adityanath is seen in dark glasses. Akhilesh wrote with the video:

“The people of UP are asking why black glasses are liked so much? Is there something to hide or has the attitude changed?”

Festival of colours: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in Holi celebrations in Gorakhpur and other places. During this, he was seen wearing ‘black glasses’ to protect himself from the sun or to suit the festive atmosphere.

Viral on social media: This new avatar of CM was liked a lot by his supporters and it started being shared as ‘Yogi’s Swag’. Taking this as its basis, Akhilesh Yadav prepared his political pitch.

Akhilesh not only talked about the glasses but also raised questions on the definition of being a ‘Yogi’. Quoting Gita he said:

Feeling of pain: “Gita clearly says that the one who considers the pain of others as his own pain is a real yogi.”

Costume vs. Karma: He taunted that merely wearing a particular color of clothes or changing accessories (spectacles) does not make one a public welfare person.

BJP’s counterattack: “Change your perspective, not your glasses.”

BJP supporters and spokespersons immediately reacted to this tweet of Akhilesh.
