Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has said that the aware people of UP have once again shown the country a new path and raised new hopes. Akhilesh Yadav said on Wednesday after the Lok Sabha election results came on Tuesday that this is also a victory of the Dalit-Bahujan trust which has fought shoulder to shoulder with all the neglected, exploited, oppressed sections of the society including the backward, minority, tribal, half the population and backward among the upper castes, which gives the right to equality, respect, self-respect, dignified life and reservation.

This is the victory of democracy. ⁠This is the victory of positive politics. ⁠This is the victory of true and good people at heart. This is the victory of India's team and the strategy of PDA.

Akhilesh Yadav said that the voters have proved that no one's power nor anyone's deceit is greater than the power of the people. This time the people have won, not the rulers. May the people keep winning.
