Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad submitted a memorandum for investigation

Deoria, 7 August (HS). A delegation led by the district convener of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Deoria, met the Social Welfare Officer on Wednesday and handed over a five-point memorandum regarding the students who fell ill due to food poisoning at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Government Ashram School.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has demanded from the Deoria District Magistrate and the Social Welfare Department that the local administration should provide the best medical facilities to all the affected students until they recover. The appointment of a warden in the school and the accountability of the current principal and the school staff appointed in the responsibility of the hostel will also be fixed and departmental disciplinary action will be taken against them.

He demanded that the quality of the food served to the children should be ensured by the departmental officials through surprise check at least once a week.

He demanded that the health of children should be tested by organising medical camps twice every month.

Department convenor Saumya Vatsal said that if the concerned department does not take action on the given memorandum within ten days, then ABVP will be forced to protest in the interest of students and society, the responsibility of which will be of the District Magistrate and the officer of the Social Welfare Department. On this occasion, mainly ABVP Department Organization Minister Saurabh Singh Net, Rajkumar Yadav, Dr. Abhinav Singh, Atul Sharma, Shavinay Pandey, Somnath, Ayush Maurya were present.
