Now before the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the NCP (Ajit Pawar) faction may face another setback. According to sources, Babajani Durrani, one of the Muslim faces of the NCP, may soon join Sharad Pawar's group. He (Babajani) met Sharad Pawar on Friday (July 26).

Many senior NCP leaders are angry with Ajit Pawar

This visit has heated up local politics. During an interview with Sharad Pawar, Babajani claimed that many senior NCP leaders are angry with Ajit Pawar. Let us tell you that Babajani Durrani is currently the Parbhani district president of the Ajit Pawar group and is also a member of the Legislative Council. And his term will end after a few days. On the other hand, people of the Maratha community in Sambhajinagar protested against Sharad Pawar, protesters raised slogans near the Rama Hotel, where Sharad Pawar was staying. The protesters want Pawar to clarify his position on Maratha reservation.

Preparations for assembly elections begin

It is worth noting that assembly elections are going to be held in Maharashtra this year. The term of the assembly will end on 26 November 2024. Elections will be held for 288 assembly seats here in October-November, for which the ruling Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi have started their respective preparations.
