A new airbase named Disa Airfield is going to be built on the India-Pakistan border. It is just 130 km away from the Pakistani border, if needed our fighter planes can launch any attack from here. Airfield Disa will be built in Banaskantha, Gujarat. This will be the 52nd station of the Air Force to be established on the western border of India. This airfield is going to prove to be very important for the security of the country and the development of the region.
The Indian Defense Ministry conducted a survey of the runways of Disha Air Base, known as Obstacle Range Surface Survey. The Indian Defense Ministry has entrusted the work of this survey to a private company of Singapore. A small DA-62 aircraft from Singapore arrived at Ahmedabad airport. The report of this survey will be submitted to the Defense Ministry, from which a map of the entire airport will be prepared.
1000 crores will be spent
4,519 acres of land has been allotted for the construction of this airbase. It will cost around Rs 1000 crore to build it. The runway will be built at a cost of Rs 394 crore. In future, the Air Force can take any action on the western border. Be it on land or sea, it will always be ready for any necessary air defense on the western borders. So that important economic centers like Ahmedabad and Vadodara can be protected from enemy attacks. It is being built towards the east from Kandla Port and Jamnagar Refinery.
security of three states
This will be a very strategic airbase of the Air Force Command. Because with its help Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra can be secured. Its construction will significantly increase the power and range of fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force. Not only this, after its construction other neighboring bases of the Indian Air Force will also benefit. For example, Bhuj and Naliya in Gujarat, Jodhpur, Jaipur and Barmer in Rajasthan will all be able to coordinate with each other.
Its foundation stone was laid in the year 2022
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid its foundation stone in the year 2022. Military Engineer Services will develop Disa Airfield. Presently Disa Airfield has one runway. It is about 1000 meters long. At present, during VVIP movement, civil and charter planes arrive or helicopters land here. In the first phase, runway, taxiway and aircraft hangar will be constructed at this airbase. After this, the rest of the technical infrastructure will be prepared in the second phase. Smart fencing will be done at the airbase. Ground water recharging and sensor based lights will be installed. There will also be solar energy farms.
