Kathmandu, 2 November (Hindustan Reporter). After receiving a bomb threat on Saturday, the Air India plane coming from Delhi to Kathmandu was landed here and checked. Like last time, this time also a call was made to the air traffic control room of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu from Delhi to inform about the presence of a bomb on the flight. Kathmandu police chief Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Kiran Bajracharya said that after receiving information about the bomb, the entire plane was immediately examined by the bomb disposal unit of the Nepali Army. He said that despite the information about the bomb being a persistent rumor, the investigation was conducted with full protocol.
Kathmandu Airport spokesperson Tej Bahadur Paudel said that as soon as the plane landed here, the first passengers were deboarded and thoroughly checked. After this, the items in hand luggage and cargo were checked. Paudel said that the security personnel allowed the plane to take off again only after checking every corner of the plane.
