Crew members went on leave without notice

Due to which airlines had to cancel more than 78 flights. Most of these flights are to the Middle East and Gulf countries. Also many flights have been delayed.

There is news that Air India and Air India Express are going to be merged. The employees are continuously protesting against this. Pilots and cabin crew of both airlines feel that their jobs are at risk.

Airline advisory for passengers
Air India Express issued a statement saying, 'A section of our senior cabin crew made a last minute call last night. Due to which many flights have been delayed or cancelled. We are talking to the crew members to understand the reasons behind these incidents. The team is working fast to ensure that the passengers face minimal problems.

Let us tell you that the Civil Aviation Authority is investigating this matter. The airline says affected passengers will be given a full refund or have the option to reschedule their flights. Air India Express has advised passengers to check their flight status before leaving for the airport.

Passengers expressed their problems on social media
Many passengers had to face problems due to the sudden cancellation of Air India flights and many passengers have informed about their problems on social media. Some wrote, 'They were not given any information about the flight cancellation and this is extremely disappointing.' However, Air India Express wrote on its Twitter handle (x), 'Regret for any inconvenience and would like to inform you that the flights have been canceled due to operational reasons.
