Air Force will show its strength in Singapore, hard work of 'Sarang' team

India's Sarang helicopter display team will showcase its skills in the skies of Singapore. This helicopter will perform such tricks in the air that the spectators will definitely be shocked. The Sarang Aerobatics Team of the Indian Air Force (IAF) is working hard to showcase its acrobatics in Singapore. Next week's Singapore Air-Show 2024 is all set to showcase its spectacular 'aerobatics'.

More than 50 countries will participate

According to organizers, more than 1,000 companies from more than 50 countries and territories will take part in the five-day air-show from Feb 20 to 25 at Changi Exhibition Centre. A team of 71 personnel of Sarang Helicopter Display Team will participate in this grand air-show along with five Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) 'Dhruv'. Designed and engineered by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, the 'Dhruv' helicopter is capable of operating in all types of weather as well as carrying out a variety of missions.

The team is honored to be in Singapore

Sarang Team Public Relations Officer (PRO) and Group Captain Ashish Mogh on Friday said that the Sarang Team is extremely honored to be in Singapore to represent the Indian Air Force in one of the largest air-shows in the world. The 71-member team is working hard to perform well.

The team arrived on 12 February

Let us tell you that the Sarang aerobatics team of the Indian Air Force (IAF) had reached Singapore on 12 February. The team had practiced here on Tuesday and Wednesday. The special thing is that the first international exhibition of this team was held in the year 2004 at the Asian Aerospace Air-Show in Singapore.

Highlighting the close cultural and defense ties between India and Singapore, Captain Moghe said, 'We are here to further strengthen these ties and win the hearts of the citizens of this prosperous city. He further said that challenging Sarang maneuvers include Dolphin Lip, Cross Over Break, Double Arrow Cross, Aries, Level Cross, Sarang Heart and Sarang Split. Mogh said that there are only a few helicopters in the world which will be seen in the demonstration contingent. This is what sets Sarang Aerobatics Team apart from others.

The team was established in 2003

Sarang is the helicopter air display team of the Air Force, consisting of five modified HAL Dhruv helicopters, also known as advanced light helicopters. The team was established in October 2003. It was first displayed at the Asian Aerospace Show in Singapore in 2004.
