Ahmedabad, September 21 (HS). Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has decided to allocate Rs 262.56 crore to develop the Ahmedabad-Mehsana-Palanpur road under the high speed corridor. In this year's budget, the state government has made a provision to develop the highway with heavy traffic in the state as a high speed corridor at a cost of about Rs 3100 crore to facilitate transportation through strong road infrastructure and safe roads.

Under this provision, work is being started to develop 6 high speed corridors including Vataman-Pipali, Surat-Sachin-Navsari, Ahmedabad-Dakor, Bhuj-Bhachau, Rajkot-Bhavnagar and Mehsana-Palanpur. For this purpose, the Chief Minister has approved the construction of flyovers and vehicular underpasses at 9 different crossing points and new bridges on 3 rivers on Mehsana-Unjha-Sidhpur-Palanpur Highway in North Gujarat in 2023-24. Taking a step forward towards this strong road network, the Chief Minister has approved an allocation of Rs 262.56 crore for the construction of one more flyover and two vehicular underpasses.

Under this, work will be started to build a new six-lane flyover bridge at a cost of Rs 136 crore to relieve heavy traffic at Radhanpur Circle in Mehsana city, a six-lane vehicular underpass at an estimated cost of Rs 54.40 crore to avoid accidents at Nagalpur cross road and a new six-lane vehicular underpass at an estimated cost of Rs 72.16 crore on both the cross roads in Unava. Due to this decision of the Chief Minister, the people of North Gujarat region will get more easy, safe and fast road connectivity with Ahmedabad.

It is noteworthy that the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently approved the National High Speed ​​Corridor of Tharad-Mehsana-Ahmedabad in the month of August. Under an important project in the Bharatmala project, Rs 10,534 crore has been sanctioned for the 214 km long Sixlane National High Speed ​​Corridor (Express-way) from Tharad to Ahmedabad. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved an allocation of Rs 262.56 crore to develop the Ahmedabad-Mehsana-Palanpur Road under the High Speed ​​Corridor to make the road network connected to this National High Speed ​​Corridor more streamlined.
