Fertilizer crisis in Madhya Pradesh: The war between Ukraine and Israel is now affecting Madhya Pradesh also. Madhya Pradesh Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Adal Singh Kanshana has claimed the ongoing fertilizer crisis in the state. Along with this, the Agriculture Minister has also advised farmers to use Nano Urea and Nano DAP.

There is no shortage of urea in the state

Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Development Minister Adal Singh Kanshana said while talking to the media that there is no shortage of urea in the state. The state government has provided required quantity of urea to the farmers in Kharif season and urea will be made available in Rabi season also as per the requirement of the farmers.

Agriculture Minister Kanshana further said that crops require nitrogen, phosphorus and potash. DAP can provide only nitrogen and phosphorus, whereas NPK provides all three elements, nitrogen, phosphorus and potash, hence farmers are being advised by agricultural scientists to use NPK in place of DAP.

To ensure that farmers do not face any problem, the Central Government has increased the subsidy on DAP urea. One bag of urea costs Rs. Is 2265. While the government has given farmers Rs. It is being made available at a cheap price of Rs 266.50. Similarly, the price of one bag of DAP is Rs 20. 2446, while the government paid farmers Rs. 1350 has been offered.

Fertilizer crisis due to Ukraine-Israel war

The Agriculture Minister claimed that the reason for the huge fluctuations in DAP prices in the international markets this year is the conflict between Ukraine and Israel. This conflict makes it difficult for the state to maintain stocks. However, a plan has been prepared to ensure that adequate quantity of fertilizer is available to the farmers.

Therefore, the Agriculture Minister has also advised farmers to use 'Nano Urea' and 'Nano DAP'. Spraying before flowering increases production. There is no pressure on farmers to use this urea. But the Agriculture Minister says that the government will ensure that the nano urea supplied is of good quality, adding that strict action will be taken against any source of information on the sale of low quality urea, seeds and pesticides. Also, we will take legal action in the case of black marketing and fake urea and will also file an FIR against the culprits.
