Kanpur, 17 October (Hindustan Reporter). A three-day national conference will be held under the joint aegis of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur and Soil Conservation Society of India. About 300 agricultural scientists from across the country will participate in the conference. This conference will be held from 18 to 20 October. He informed that a national seminar on sustainable agriculture and livelihood security through management of soil, water and energy is being organized at Agricultural University, Kanpur. In which about 300 agricultural scientists, administrators, planners, extension workers and other scholars from across the country will participate and discuss various dimensions and strategies of the problems of farmers.
Dr. Kumar said that the three-day 32nd National Conference will be organized in the auditorium of Kailash Bhawan under the able guidance of the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr. Anand Kumar Singh, under the joint aegis of Indian Soil Conservation Society UP Chapter and the Department of Land and Water Management of the University. He informed that this national conference is being organized on the subject of soil water and energy management for sustainable agriculture and livelihood security. The conference will be held on October 18 at 10.30 am at Kailash Bhawan in the University by the Chief Guest, State Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana and other guests. The program will be presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Anand Kumar Singh.
He informed that after the inaugural session, the technical session will start in three rooms. In which renowned scientists of soil and water management of the country and state will present their research. He said that scientists and progressive farmers will be present in this three-day national conference and on this occasion, scientists and progressive farmers who have done excellent work on soil and water conservation will also be honored.
On this occasion, Dr. TBS Rajput, President SCSI, New Delhi, Dr. S.S. Grewal, Former Director, PAU, Ludhiana, Dr. R. Of. Yadav, Director, CSSI Karnal, Dr. Neelam Patel, senior scientists of NITI Aayog, New Delhi etc. will be present.
