After two years of campus recruitment, Infosys has given joining dates to 2000 people. The IT giant has issued offer letters to all its 2,000 campus recruits. More than 1,000 recruits got their joining date as September 1 and 300 got their joining date as September 2. The rest of the recruits were given joining dates in June 2024. According to the news of Financial Express, this information has been given by the Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES).

This position was offered in Infosys in 2022

According to NITES, all the remaining campus recruits, around 2,000 systems engineers, have finally received their joining date, confirmed on October 21. These engineers were initially offered positions at Infosys in 2022 and were to complete two pre-training sessions in 2024. The latest session ended on August 19. Infosys' recruitment team informed recruiters via email that the virtual pre-training session consisted of self-learning modules provided by the company, followed by in-person assessments in various cities.

More than 200 recruitments are still awaited

The recruitment team said that if the candidates clear the aptitude assessment, they will be invited to join Infosys for a personalized intensive training program. Failing the assessment will delay your joining date. More than 200 recruits are still waiting for their joining date for Digital Specialist Engineer posts in 2023. The salary of System Engineer is Rs 3.6 lakh per annum, while for the Digital Specialist Engineer post it is Rs 6.5 lakh per annum.

NITES filed a request

NITES has said that the recent campus recruits who have received offers have undergone pre-training and assessment. In June 2024, NITES, a Pune-based association for IT professionals, requested the Ministry of Labour and Employment to investigate the company's repeated delays in over 2,000 campus recruitments. NITES claimed that the two-year delay has caused great hardship to the affected employees. Infosys announced after its June quarter earnings that the company plans to hire 15,000 to 20,000 freshers in FY25. Earlier, 11,900 freshers were recruited in FY24, which is significantly less than the previous year, while over 50,000 freshers were recruited last year.
