In the Ranji Trophy Group-B match played at Narendra Modi Stadium B-Ground, Gujarat defeated Andhra Pradesh by one run after a tough match. Gujarat's first innings ended at 367 runs. Andhra team was out for 213 runs and after that Gujarat team came at third position.

Andhra team scored 297 runs in the second innings and gave Gujarat a target of 144 runs to win the match. While chasing the runs, Gujarat team lost five wickets including opener Priyank Panchal (6), Rishi Patel (8), Manan Hingrejia (14) and Ravi Bishnoini (0) till the score of 61 runs. In the middle order, Jaymeet Patel contributed 32 runs and Umang Kumar contributed 25 runs. Gujarat lost the ninth wicket at the score of 131 after captain Chintan Gaja was out for 30 runs. Arzan Nagwaswala, who became the best player of the match, ensured Gujarat's victory by scoring unbeaten 16 runs. For Andhra, Lalit Mohan took seven wickets for 76 runs. Abhishek Reddy's 71 runs and Maheep Kumar's 55 runs were important in Andhra's second innings. For Gujarat, Arza lost four wickets for 40 runs and Siddharth Desai lost three wickets for 93 runs.
