BL Santosh has gained popularity amid the cold war going on between BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). BJP's National Organization General Secretary Santosh has been sidelined. BJP sources claim that Santosh will be expelled from BJP even before the results of the Lok Sabha elections are announced. In place of Santosh, a leader trusted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be made the National Organization General Secretary. According to sources, Bhikhu Dalsania's name is currently leading in this race.
B. L. Santosh is nowhere to be seen in the election campaign
BJP has a tradition of appointing a Sangh leader as the organisational general secretary. BJP sources claim that due to the conflict with the Sangh, Modi does not trust any other Sangh leader, so he is eyeing his old loyalist Bhikhu Dalsania. B.L. Santosh is nowhere to be seen in the meetings for ticket distribution or during the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. Karnataka is Santosh's hometown but Santosh was not present even in the meetings held to decide the candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka. It was clear from this that his fortunes had started to decline.
Bhikhu Dalsania is a confidant of PM Modi
Dalsania, who was the general secretary of the Gujarat BJP organization for a long time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, is considered a confidant of Prime Minister Modi. Even after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, Dalsania did not get distracted. After Karo Patil became the state president, Bhikhu Dalsania was transferred from Gujarat and sent to Bihar as the organization general secretary. BJP sources claim that Bhikhu Dalsania, who has been working in Bihar since 2021, will now be taken to the national level.
B. L. Santosh is a senior RSS volunteer, but it is said that he fell out of favour with Prime Minister Modi due to his ambition to become the Chief Minister of Karnataka. Santosh had contested against BJP veteran Yeddyurappa in Karnataka. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave importance to Yeddyurappa in the parliamentary board instead of Santosh and also made his son the state president.
