Investigating officer Dharam Pal said that the case has been registered on the complaint of Eric C of the US Embassy. According to the police, the accused have been identified as Amandeep Singh, resident of Bharat Nagar Chowk, and his wife Poonam Rani. The partners are Ankur Kehar, resident of Centra Green Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, Kamaljot, resident of Chandigarh, Rohit Bhalla, resident of Jassia Road, Ludhiana and Kirti Sood, resident of Sai Mandir Barnala.
The complaint received from the US Embassy said that the accused, in consultation with us, sent the files of students Simran Thakur, Rahul Kumar and Ravneet Kaur to Redleaf Immigration Private Limited from Ludhiana. The accused misled the children and gave them wrong advice to meet the gap in their education. The accused kept the files of the children in the embassy and fraudulently showed friend loan to Lovely Kaur and Harvinder Kaur and grabbed Rs 40 lakh from Rudra Consultancy, he received money from the children in the form of high interest at his own will.
In the complaint, Eric C said that the accused have cheated the children by doing this. After receiving the complaint from the US Embassy, police officials investigated the matter and ordered the police of Division No. 5 to register a case.
