Vadodara: A big order has been issued from Gandhinagar regarding illegal encroachment on Vishwamitri river in Vadodara city. On the order of action from the Chief Minister's Office, the Municipal Corporation has given an ultimatum to 11 places including Agora Mall, which is always in controversy. On this issue, Sayajiganj Legislative Assembly MLA Keyur Rokadia was also seen in the same attitude.
Illegal encroachments have been made on the banks of Vishwamitri River and Kans at various places in the city. Voices have been raised against these encroachments for a long time. However, after the devastating floods in the city, this issue has become a real battle. The people of Vadodara protested against the government on this issue and made many allegations against the system. So now the state government is taking action in this matter.
Action has been initiated against all those who are illegally dumping garbage on Vishwamitri river bed and Kans in Vadodara without permission. For this, orders for action have been given from the Chief Minister's office. Under which Vadodara Municipal Corporation has issued notices to ten dumpers.
All the encroachments will be demolished without leaving any margin space at the places where encroachment has been made. The municipality has given a 72-hour ultimatum to those who are creating the encroachment. Agora Mall, Smriti Mandir, Maryland Party Plot, Global School, Karelibag Estate, Kashiba Children's Hospital will be issued notices by the system. The compound wall of the controversial Agora Mall as well as the club house are also under pressure.
On this issue, Sayajiganj Assembly MLA Keyur Rokhadia has posted on social media and warned the people who are pushing. MLA Keyur Rokhadia wrote in the post, 'Survey is over… matter of notice… Dada's bulldozer will run on pressure… Last warning to those who are building without permission on Vishwamitri river and Kansa. We will destroy the pressure.' At present, the physical survey is going on.
Regarding the pressure on the banks of Vishwamitri river, the commissioner said that the drone, record and site visit survey has been completed. After which the municipality has issued notice to 10 marginal hawkers apart from Agora. Notice has been given regarding the club house and wall of Agora. Smriti Mandir, Mary Land Party Plot, Global School, Karelibag Industrial Estate Shop, Kashiba Hospital have also been issued a three-day notice and now action will be taken after 72 hours.
