Varanasi, 09 November (HS). After the completion of Dala Chhath, a continuous crowd is being seen to return in the trains going towards the metros. People who came to their villages during the Mahaparva are now reaching the station of Varanasi Division of North Eastern Railway to go to their respective workplaces. In view of the huge crowd, the railway administration has made elaborate security arrangements at the stations of Varanasi division. Railway security forces are being cautious and boarding the trains with full security and senior railway passengers.

According to railway officers of Varanasi division, additional special trains are also being run for various metros via Siwan station till November 22, 2024. Crowds of railway passengers are being queued up and boarded in trains for the return journey. At the ticket counter, tickets are being distributed in rows by making barricades with ropes. Apart from this, temporary barricades and ropes are being used to prevent overflow of crowd on the platform. With the help of loudspeakers, management instructions are being given to the passengers and safety awareness is being made. According to the Public Relations Officer, Railway Karmayogi/Railway Servants are continuously providing services with full promptness so that the Chhath passengers returning to their respective jobs after Chhath Puja do not face any inconvenience. Passengers who arrived before the time of special trains are being kept in the holding area made for Chhath passengers in Siwan station premises.

Similarly, the activities happening at the station, trains and platforms are being monitored from the CCTV monitoring room from the control room built for Chhath Puja in the station superintendent's room. A single entry and a single exit route has been determined at Siwan station. In view of the crowd, additional reserved/unreserved ticket counters have been opened. Cleanliness and availability of drinking water at water booths is being ensured at the station in three shifts of eight hours each. The record of Chhath special trains passing through Chhapra station and the passengers traveling from Siwan after Chhath festival is being maintained. According to the officers, on the occasion of Chhath Puja, adequate number of special trains are being run by Varanasi Division for the convenience of Chhath passengers. Have been run.
