Amritsar: Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib is going to call a meeting of the owners to discuss the matter related to the Akali Dal at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on September 18 after the Panj Singh Centenary Celebrations. There is a discussion that after the former cabinet ministers, the core committee members of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) from 2007 to 23 July 2024 or 2007 to 2017 may also have to appear in person and give clarification. There is also a discussion that if Panj Singh Sahib has declared Sukhbir Singh Badal as Deputy Chief Minister and the President of the Akali Dal as salaried and the fellow cabinet ministers of the Deputy Chief Minister may be asked for clarification and the members of the core committee who are with the President of the Shiromani Akali Dal. Religious leaders believe that many of the cases in which the opponents are accusing Sukhbir Badal are related to the core committee and these have been discussed in the core committee many times. Even the core committee has discussed several times to appear at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and apologize and repent for their mistakes. The Akali leaders who rebelled against the Shiromani Akali Dal gave a written letter to Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh on July 1, blaming party president Sukhbir Singh Badal for every mistake made during the Akali government from 2007 to 2017 and asked him to attend Akal Takht Sahib and requested to take action according to religious customs. 10 former ministers have not yet given clarification
Sukhbir Singh Badal was declared a salaried employee in the meeting of Panj Singh Sahibs held on August 30 and he was asked to appear in person at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and the former Sikh cabinet ministers of that time were asked to give an explanation within 15 days. While Sukhbir Singh Badal has come forward and submitted a written letter, 7 former ministers have also submitted their explanation so far.
