New Delhi, June 10 (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that before 2014, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) was considered the center of power, but my effort from the beginning has been that the PMO should become an institution of service and the People's PMO.
In his first address to PMO officials after assuming office for the third time, Prime Minister Modi said that 10 years ago, there was an image in our country that the PMO is a centre of power and a very big power centre. He said that I was neither born for power nor do I think of acquiring power. Modi said that he has no intention of turning the PMO into a power centre, as it was envisaged 10 years ago. He said that he wants to develop it as a catalytic agent, which works for the welfare of the people.
He said that the steps we have taken since 2014, we have tried to develop it as a catalytic agent. He said that it has been my endeavor from the beginning that the PMO should become an establishment of service and the PMO of the people. It cannot be Modi's PMO. Modi said that there is no one in his heart and mind except 140 crore people.
The Prime Minister said that when it comes to the government, it is not just Modi, it is thousands of minds that are connected with him, thousands of brains that are working on it, thousands of arms that are working on it. Because of this vast form, even a common man gets to know about its capabilities. He said that the government means new energy of strength, dedication and resolutions.
Modi said that we are not those people whose office starts at this time and ends at this time. For our team, there is no time restriction, no limits to thinking and no set criteria for efforts. Those who are beyond this are my team and the country has faith in that team.
He said that I invite all those who want to devote themselves to make the resolution of a developed India a reality. Our only goal is nation first, our only intention is to make India a developed country by 2047. I have said publicly that every moment of mine is dedicated to the country. I have also promised the country that I will work 24/7 for 2047, I have such expectations from the team.
Modi said that I feel that now it is my responsibility to think more than what I had thought in 10 years, to do more than what I had done in 10 years. Now whatever has to be done is to cross the global benchmark. What we were yesterday and how well we did today, that time has passed. If the world is at a point beyond which there is nothing, then we have to reach there. We have to take our country to a place where no one else has reached.
