Kartik Aaryan's film 'Chandu Champion' has been released. This film has been released across the country on 14 June. This is the same date on which Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide 4 years ago. In such a situation, there is a special reason for releasing Chandu Champion on this date.
Actually this film was Sushant Singh Rajput's dream project. He had also started preparations for this film, but after his death the film was stopped. However, later the makers completed the film with Karthik. 'Chandu Champion' is a biopic of Paralympic gold medalist Muralikant Petkar. Years ago Sushant Singh Rajput went to meet Muralikant Petkar. When Muralikant Petkar told his story, Sushant was very impressed. After this Sushant decided that he would be a part of his biopic. About 7 years ago when director Kabir Khan wrote the script of Muralikant Petkar's biopic, he cast Sushant Singh Rajput in the film. Sushant had made all the preparations for the film and a part of the film was also shot with him. However, before the film was made, on June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide by hanging himself at his Bandra house. Muralikant Petkar was shocked by Sushant's death. Muralikant Petkar told during an interview that Sushant met him for the last time in August 2019. He seemed very optimistic. He promised Muralikant that he would present his story well. She says that she will never forget the time spent with Sushant. If reports are to be believed, after hearing the news of Sushant's death, Muralikant was keeping an eye on his next journey for a long time.
