Bathinda: Angered by former minister Sikandar Singh Maluka's son-in-law joining BJP, Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal has removed him from the post of in-charge of Mau assembly constituency and made Janmeja Singh Sekhon in-charge.

A meeting of senior Akali leaders of Mau assembly constituency was called in village Badal, which was presided over by Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal. Meanwhile, taking the opinion of Akali workers and leaders, former minister Janmeja Singh has once again taken command of Mau assembly constituency.

Let us tell you that Janmeja Singh had become a cabinet minister by contesting elections from Sekhon Maur assembly constituency. Sekhon had to face defeat in the 2017 assembly elections. After this he left Maur assembly constituency and was living in Firozpur area.

When contacted, Janmeja Singh Sekhon said that at present he will work in Maur assembly constituency only till the Lok Sabha elections.
