K Kavitha gets bail after 5 months in Delhi liquor scam case: After AAP leader Manish Sisodia got bail after 19 months in the alleged liquor scam of Delhi, now another accused Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader Kavita has got bail from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court granted bail with some conditions on a bond of Rs 10 lakh. Kavita's passport has been confiscated. Along with this, she was also instructed not to tamper with the evidence.
While granting bail, the bench of Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice K.V. Vishwanathan clarified that no comment has been made on eligibility. Therefore, there will be no impact on the trial. Kavita remained in jail for about 5 months. ED and CBI have also considered Kavita's role important on behalf of Sisodia and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor scam.

Opposing the bail plea, the investigating agencies argued before the Supreme Court that BRS leader Kavitha had formatted the mobile phone and tampered with the evidence. When Kavitha said that the allegation of formatting the mobile phone is false. The Supreme Court has asked the investigating agencies what evidence do you have that BRS leader Kavitha is involved in this crime.
Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, while appealing for bail on behalf of Kavita, said that both the agencies have completed the investigation against Kavita. The responsibility of granting bail to the accused and AAP leader Manish Sisodia in both the cases was handed over to the Supreme Court.
