On Tuesday, hearing on the bail plea of Manish Sisodia was held in Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi. Meanwhile, senior advocate Mohit Mathur, appearing in the court for Sisodia, said his client was eligible for bail as he had not caused any loss to the exchequer. Before the bench of Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, Sisodia's lawyer said that no one has been harmed by him.
What did Sisodia's lawyer claim?
During the hearing, Sisodia's lawyer claimed that till now the ED has not been able to prove that any money had reached the former Deputy CM. 11 months have passed since the investigation was completed. The lawyer said that he has been in jail for the last 13 months. He has not misused any freedom given by the court during this period. During the hearing, Sisodia said that no purpose is being served by keeping me in jail now.

The former Chief Minister of Delhi said that the ED's money laundering case against him has been completed. There is no possibility of me obstructing the investigation or destroying evidence related to the case. They also told the judge that if the court decides to grant bail, they are ready to follow any conditions set by the court. Sisodia's bail plea is now scheduled to be heard on April 6. At present he is lodged in Tihar Jail.
