Attack on Army post in Doda, Jammu: Terrorists have carried out another attack in Jammu and Kashmir. This time the terrorists attacked the Army's temporary operating base (TOB) in Doda district on Tuesday (11 June 2024) and started firing. One terrorist was killed in retaliation, while one person was injured by the terrorists' bullets.
It is reported that after the attack, 6 security personnel were injured in an encounter between police and terrorists in Chhatrakala of Doda. Regarding the attack, Jammu ADGP Anand Jain said, “One terrorist was killed in the firing and a civilian was injured, but now the area is out of danger. The operation is still going on and senior officers are on the spot.” Let us tell you that this is the third terrorist attack in Jammu region in the last three days after Reasi and Kathua.

According to sources, two encounters have taken place between terrorists and security forces in different districts of Jammu division since Tuesday night. An encounter took place in Sawal area of Hiranagar in Samba district of Jammu on Tuesday night, where security forces killed one terrorist, while the search for the other is on. A CRPF jawan was also injured in the firing here. The second competition is going on in Chhatrakala area of Doda district of Jammu. Terrorists fired on the temporary base of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army in Chhatrakala area, after which an encounter started there. Three encounters have taken place in Jammu in the last three days.
Entered two houses and started firing
According to sources, two to four armed terrorists were seen in Saida village of Hiranagar area of Kathua district of Jammu at around 7:55 pm on Monday evening. In Sauda village, two terrorists knocked on the door of a house and asked for water from the woman of that house. When the woman refused to give water, both the terrorists reached the gate of Omkar's house, who lived with the woman. As soon as they reached here, they started firing at the door. Omkar got shot in the hand in this firing. The terrorists also tried to target a couple going on a bike from there but they survived. The terrorists fired 15 to 20 rounds. Hearing the sound of bullets, the nearby villagers informed the security forces. After which the police and security forces reached here. At present, the search operation is going on in the area.

Union Minister Dr. Jitinder Singh posted about the attack on X and wrote, “In view of the terrorist attack on a house in Saida village of Hiranagar sector near the international border, I am in constant touch with DC Kathua Rakesh Minhas. I am in touch with SSP Kathua Anayat Ali Chaudhary who is on the spot. Also spoke to the owner of the house which was attacked. The operation is on to search for the terrorists. So far one terrorist has been killed. I and my office are in constant touch and are closely monitoring the developments.
