After Rayudu, another veteran cricketer took a jibe at RCB, asking – why did not the local player play?

Irfan Pathan on RCB : The 19th match of IPL 2024 was played yesterday between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. In this match, Rajasthan team captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to bowl first. Virat Kohli scored a century for RCB and the team scored 183 runs, but still RCB lost. After RCB's defeat, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has criticized Royal Challengers Bangalore. Earlier, Ambati Rayudu had also criticized RCB for their performance.

Pathan is unhappy with RCB management

Irfan Pathan is unhappy with the RCB management as they did not include local cricketer Mahipal Lomar in the playing eleven. He also plays for Rajasthan and has also played for Rajasthan Royals. He knew the pitch and the ground and was in form, but the RCB management included a new player like Sourav Chauhan in the playing-11.

Irfan raised questions on management

Irfan said, “Mahipal Lomror plays on this pitch in domestic cricket and was not a part of the playing-11. He is also in form. To avoid such mistakes, there is a need to include Indian coaches in IPL. This is just an example.” Lomror played two matches for RCB this season and both were played in Bengaluru. He was successful in scoring 17 runs in one match and 33 runs in the other match.

Middle order improved and flopped

Talking about the match, RCB promoted Glenn Maxwell at number three, who could score only one run. At number four came Saurav Chauhan, who scored 9 runs on 6 balls and at number five came Cameron Green, who scored 5 runs on 6 balls. When Dinesh Karthik proved to be the greatest match finisher in the death overs, then why he was not sent to bat is also a big question.
