Jaipur, 23 August (HS). There will be no negative marking in the Common Eligibility Test at graduation level to be held in Rajasthan. The revised notification of the eligibility test will be issued soon by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board.

Staff Selection Board Chairman Alok Raj said that the board had made a provision for negative marking in CET graduation level. After the negative feedback from the students, the board has now decided to change this process. In such a situation, now students will be able to participate in CET without negative marking.

On August 6, the CET notification was issued by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. There was a provision to deduct one-third marks for giving wrong answers. A large number of students started protesting against this provision. After the intervention of the government, the Staff Selection Commission has decided to end negative marking and conduct CET under the normal process. In Rajasthan, candidates will be able to participate in 11 future recruitments on the basis of CET graduation score. This time it has been made mandatory for the candidates to score minimum 40 percent marks in CET. If they score less than this, they will be declared ineligible. However, candidates from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe will be given five percent relaxation in the minimum marks.

CET Graduation Level will be conducted from 25th to 28th September. To appear in the exam, candidates can apply from 9th August to 7th September by visiting the official website of Staff Selection Board.
