After NBCC and VST Tillers, financial results of Tega Industries released, one company saw a huge jump in profit while the other suffered huge loss.

At this time, a very important and latest news is emerging for investors and business world from the corridors of Indian stock market, corporate world and financial results. Three major companies of the country have announced their business figures and financial results for the second quarter (Q2) of the financial year 2026-27—NBCC, VST Tillers Tractors and Tega Industries—has been officially released. In this year’s quarterly results, completely different and interesting trends have been seen in the performance of these three companies. On one hand, while public sector giant NBCC has won the hearts of investors by showing a strong jump in its profits and revenue, on the other hand, agricultural equipment manufacturing company VST Tillers has recorded a decline in profits. Additionally, Tega Industries unexpectedly incurred losses despite reporting huge growth in its revenue and EBITDA. Let us know in detail how this second quarter has been in financial terms for these three big companies and what story their figures tell.

Great performance of NBCC: Strong growth of 34% in consolidated net profit and improvement in margins.

NBCC, a leading public sector construction, project management and real estate development company, has once again proved through its financial results how strong its hold in the infrastructure sector is becoming. According to the data released by the company, in the July-September quarter of the current financial year, NBCC’s total revenue has registered a solid growth of 16.5 percent on an annual basis. During this period, the total revenue of the company increased to Rs 3,396 crore, whereas it was Rs 2,914 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.

Not only the revenue, but also the net profit of the company has revealed very impressive figures. In the quarter under review, NBCC’s consolidated net profit jumped by 33.8 per cent year-on-year to Rs 206 crore, whereas the company had earned a profit of Rs 154 crore in the same period last year. Furthermore, the company has witnessed unprecedented improvement in its operating performance. NBCC’s EBITDA more than doubled to Rs 225.5 crore, compared to Rs 104.5 crore last year. The most important thing is that the EBITDA margin of the company has also registered a tremendous improvement and it has increased from 3.6 percent last year to 6.6 percent this time, which is a clear proof of the strong functioning and increasing efficiency of the company.

VST Tillers Tractors results mixed: 10% decline in profits despite modest revenue growth

This second quarter has been mixed and a bit challenging for VST Tillers Tractors, a well-known company involved in the manufacturing of tractors and agricultural equipment. According to the official information given by the company, in the quarter under review, the company’s revenue has registered a slight increase of 2.2 percent on an annual basis, and it has increased to Rs 322 crore, whereas in the same quarter last year, the company’s revenue was Rs 315 crore.

However, despite a slight increase in income, the pressure on the company’s bottom-line i.e. profit was clearly visible. VST Tillers Tractors’ net profit declined by 10.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 22.4 crore, whereas the company had earned a profit of Rs 25 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. Along with this, the company’s operating performance has also been affected and its EBITDA fell by 13.4 per cent to Rs 35.5 crore, from Rs 41 crore last year. The company’s EBITDA margin also declined and came down to 11 percent from 13 percent last year. This clearly shows that the company’s profits have been affected due to increasing competition and cost pressure in the agricultural equipment market.

Tega Industries’ surprising quarter: Revenue increased more than 10 times, but the company suffered losses.

The second quarter results of Tega Industries, a giant in the mineral processing and grinding media segment, have been the most surprising. The company has made a historic leap in its sales and revenue in this quarter. The company’s total revenue grew impressively to Rs 4,254 crore, compared to just Rs 405 crore in the same quarter last financial year—a massive increase of more than 10 times year-on-year.

Apart from this, the EBITDA of the company also increased to Rs 489 crore, which was Rs 69 crore in the same quarter last year. However, despite such tremendous and huge revenue growth, the company has suffered a huge blow on the net front in this quarter and the company has had to suffer a net loss of Rs 47.4 crore, whereas in the same quarter last year the company had registered a net profit of Rs 45 crore. Along with this, the company’s EBITDA margin has also come down to 11.5 percent from 17 percent last year. Thus, this quarter for Tega Industries was very good in terms of revenue and business expansion, but proved to be very weak from the profit and bottom-line point of view.
