More than 100 people are still hospitalized and some of them are in critical condition.

IS has claimed responsibility for the attack

Terrorist organization IS has taken responsibility for this attack. National mourning was observed in Russia on Sunday. State news agency RIA Novosti reported that events at cultural institutions were cancelled, flags were flown at half-mast and entertainment and television advertising were suspended. A large number of people gathered to offer floral tributes at the temporary memorial built near the incident site.

Andrey Kondakov, who came to lay a wreath, said that people had come to the concert. Some people came to spend time with their families. Any one of us could have been in a similar situation. I would like to express my condolences to all the affected families and pay my tribute to the deceased.

Marina Korshunova, who reached the memorial, said, “This is a tragedy, which has affected our entire country. It is not understandable that even small children have been affected by this incident. The investigation committee said in a statement that the identification of the bodies of the deceased is ongoing. So far 62 dead bodies have been identified. Along with this, the work of handing over personal belongings, documents and cars to the people present in the concert complex on the day of the terrorist attack has also started.
