Today, trading in the broad market continued with slight strength, due to which the BSE Midcap Index closed with a gain of 0.29 percent. Similarly, the Smallcap index ended today's trading with a gain of 0.07 percent.

Despite the decline in the stock market today, the wealth of stock market investors increased by more than Rs 70 thousand crore due to purchases of small and medium shares. The market capitalization of BSE listed companies increased to Rs 477.94 lakh crore (provisional) after today's trading. Their market capitalization on the last trading day i.e. Wednesday was Rs 477.16 lakh crore. In this way, investors made a profit of about Rs 78 thousand crore from today's business.

Today, there was active trading in 4,060 shares in BSE in the day's trading. Of these, 1,974 shares closed with gains, while 1,959 shares closed with a decline, while 127 shares closed without any movement. There was active trading in 2,474 shares in NSE today. BSE Sensex today opened at 85,893.84 points with a rise of 57.72 points, creating a new record of all-time high opening. As soon as the trading started, the movement of this index increased due to the support of buying. Due to continuous buying, this index increased by 142.13 points and reached its highest level of 85,978.25 points. However, this rise of Sensex could not last long. Selling started in the market after 11 noon, due to which the index dived into the red within a short time. Due to selling pressure in the market, this index fell by 361.54 points to 85,474.58 points shortly before the end of today's trading. In the end, due to buying due to intra-day settlement, this index recovered about 100 points from the lower level and closed at the level of 85,571.85 points with a weakness of 264.27 points.

Like Sensex, NSE's Nifty started trading today at 26,248.25 points with a gain of 32.20 points. After the opening of the market, with the support of buying, this index managed to jump by 61.30 points to reach its highest peak of 26,277.35 points. However, due to increased selling pressure after 11 pm, the movement of this index also declined. Due to continuous selling, this index fell by 64.65 points to reach 26,151.40 points shortly before the end of today's trading. After the whole day's trading, Nifty closed at 26,178.95 points with a weakness of 37.10 points.

After the day's buying and selling, among the big stocks of the stock market, BPCL joined the list of today's top 5 gainers with a gain of 6.43 percent, Cipla 3.13 percent, Sun Pharmaceuticals 2.65 percent, Coal India 1.89 percent and Reliance Industries 1.88 percent. . On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation 3.06 percent, Bharti Airtel 2.06 percent, HDFC Bank 1.73 percent, ICICI Bank 1.69 percent and Kotak Mahindra 1.57 percent joined the list of today's top 5 losers.
