Jammu, July 17 (HS). JKNC Jammu Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta has accused the BJP leadership of misleading the people of the region. In a statement issued to media persons, the party leader said that the people of Jammu region have always supported the National Conference and the vote share of the party in the recently held Lok Sabha elections has once again proved that the people of Jammu region have full faith in the leadership of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah.
He said the BJP leadership is looking for non-agenda issues as under its rule Jammu and Kashmir has unfortunately witnessed division and degradation from a vibrant state into two powerless Union Territories. The BJP failed to curb unemployment and skyrocketing inflation. It has lost ground due to its wrong policies but the rising graph of NC is due to its consistent people-friendly approach as every nook and corner of Jammu region is being looked after by the party even though it is out of power due to the manipulative politics of the BJP.
He said that National Conference is known for equal development of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state but BJP is accused of pursuing agenda of divisive politics which has badly ruined Jammu and Kashmir and created rift among different sections of society. He said that be it Jammu region or Kashmir, BJP leadership is not concerned about people's issues but wants to raise issues only for political gains.
The provincial president also condemned the recent terror attacks in Doda district and expressed condolences to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones.
