Saraikela, 6 September (HS). Adityapur police took Santosh Thapa, a notorious criminal involved in dozens of criminal incidents in various police station areas of the district, on transit remand and handed him over to the court after interrogation.
In this regard, Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat told the media that on September 2, information was received about the notorious criminal Santosh Thapa being at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. After this, Seraikela Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla and the district police established contact with Delhi Police, Kolkata Police and CISF deployed at Indira Gandhi International Airport and with the joint efforts of all, criminal Santosh Thapa was arrested. After arresting him in Delhi, Seraikela Police took him on transit remand for interrogation. After the remand period was completed on Friday, he was handed back to the court.
Apart from Superintendent of Police Mukesh Lunayat, Adityapur Police Station in-charge Rajiv Kumar Singh was also present in the press conference.
