Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Banjara Heritage Museum to showcase the rich heritage of the Banjara community. He will flag off metro trains running from BKC metro station in Thane to R JVLR in Mumbai. They will also travel by metro train between BKC and Santa Cruz station. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of Phase-I of Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project and Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension, Navi Mumbai Airport Impact Notified Area Project. Apart from this, he will also lay the foundation stone of Thane Municipal Corporation.
Role of Banjara community in Maharashtra politics

The population of Banjara community is about 6 percent of the total population of Maharashtra i.e. 1.30 crore. Banjaras belong to the Scheduled Tribe category.
