Stock Market Today: After falling for five consecutive trading sessions, the Indian stock market is trading with gains today. After falling up to 1304.38 points in the last five days, the Sensex was trading with a jump of more than 600 points in today's morning session. Nifty also crossed the 24500 level and reached 24634.35. In the afternoon trading session, the Sensex rose 1249.09 points. At 2.14 pm, it was trading with a gain of 1146 points, crossing the 81 thousand level. Nifty also touched a high of 24818.15 intraday, which is the highest level so far. At 2.15 pm, the Nifty was trading at 24794, up 387.90 points.
Amid the all-round boom in the stock market, investors' capital has increased by 6.73 lakh crores. On the BSE, 299 stocks reached the highest level of the year and 418 stocks hit the upper circuit. Shares of Alembic Limited, Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors, Crompton, Amerland, Aris Pharma, Fortis, MMTC, among others, reached the highest level of the year.
All sectoral indices in the green zone
Banking stocks again saw selling pressure in the stock market this morning. Private sector banks registered massive profit booking. However, later buying increased and the index rose by 1 percent. There was continuous bullish pressure in the stock markets. Therefore, after five consecutive days of improvement, investors have seen recovery from lower levels to increase buying today. Globally, the stock market has seen a mixed response. European markets remained down, while Asian markets showed improvement.
