K Kavitha Arrested: After ED in Delhi Liquor Policy case, now CBI has taken major action against BRS leader Kavita. Former Telangana CM KCR's daughter CBI in Delhi Liquor Policy case. Kavita has been arrested. Kavita is currently in judicial custody in the ED case. On April 9, the court had extended K. Kavita's custody till April 23. Kavita was arrested by the ED team from her house in Hyderabad last month.
Court rejected interim bail application
In the Delhi liquor policy case, BRS leader and former Telangana Chief Minister KCR's daughter K. Kavita is not getting relief even from the court. Rouse Avenue Court on Monday rejected his interim bail plea. Kavita had sought interim bail citing the ongoing examinations of her 16-year-old son.
Earlier, while refusing to grant interim bail, the court had said that prima facie it seems that he has tried to influence the witnesses. Apart from this, an attempt has also been made to destroy the evidence. In such a situation, if they are given relief then they can do this in future also.
ED has alleged that K. Kavita is a member of the South Group related to Delhi Liquor Policy issue.
What did ED claim?
ED has said that Kavita is a key member of South Group, which is accused of paying a bribe of Rs 100 crore to Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party to get a major stake in the liquor license.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia are in jail in a money laundering case related to Delhi Liquor Policy. The Central Investigation Agency has claimed that there has been alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the liquor policy.
