Amidst the continuous painful news of arson coming from different parts of the country, now a very scary news is coming out from Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. The wounds of the recent horrific accidents in Delhi and Muzaffarpur had not yet healed when suddenly a massive fire broke out in a multi-storey commercial complex located in a busy area of Hyderabad. The fire spread so fast that within no time the entire building turned into a cloud of flames and black smoke. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of tremendous panic and chaos in the entire area.
A sudden fire engulfed the entire building.
This tragic accident happened in a very busy and residential commercial hub of Hyderabad. According to eyewitnesses, smoke was suddenly seen coming out from one of the floors of the complex and by the time people could understand something or try to control the fire, the flames had taken a huge form. The huge amount of electronic goods, clothes and plastic materials present inside the commercial complex added fuel to the fire, due to which the flames rapidly spread towards the upper floors. The sky-high flames rising from within the building could be clearly seen from several kilometers away.
Fire engines reached the spot and rescue operation started
As soon as information about the incident was received, the local police and fire brigade teams immediately came into action mode. Initially, efforts were made to extinguish the fire at the local level, but seeing the situation worsening, more than a dozen fire tenders were sent to the spot. Fire brigade personnel are trying to control the fire by continuously spraying water with the help of hydraulic platforms and modern equipment. Along with this, a major rescue operation is being carried out by the local administration to first safely rescue the people trapped in the building and its surrounding shops.
Short circuit or something else, how did such a massive fire break out?
According to the initial investigation and speculations of the officials present on the spot, the reason behind this horrific fire is believed to be a short circuit in the electrical panel. However, the actual cause will be known only after the fire is completely controlled and forensic investigation is done. It is a matter of relief that due to the promptness of the disaster management team and the local youth, many people were taken out of the building in time, thereby avoiding a major loss of life. Nevertheless, goods and property worth crores of rupees are estimated to have been burnt to ashes in this accident.
Why are fires raging in big cities of the country one after the other?
Before Hyderabad, similar horrific fire incidents have been seen in the residential areas of Delhi and Muzaffarpur in Bihar. These incidents coming out one after the other raise serious questions regarding fire safety audit (fire safety rules) in big and commercial cities of the country. Experts say that such incidents are increasing continuously during the summer season due to excessive consumption of electricity and ignoring safety standards in commercial buildings. This accident in Hyderabad has once again forced the administration to take strict steps and conduct safety checks of old buildings.
