Security forces have recovered a large quantity of sophisticated weapons
Terrorists armed with sophisticated weapons opened indiscriminate fire at Borobekara police station and nearby CRPF camp at Jakurdhor in Jiribam district. After the fierce encounter, the security forces have also recovered a large quantity of sophisticated weapons. Sources said that 20 more companies of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) which have been ordered to be sent to Manipur include 15 companies of CRPF and 5 companies of Border Security Force (BSF).

These units will be among the 198 companies of CAPFs that have been deployed in the state following the caste violence that broke out in Manipur in May last year. 200 people died in this violence. Sources said that as per the orders of the Home Ministry, all these CAPF units will remain under the Manipur government till November 30 and there is a possibility of their deployment being increased.
