Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi is currently being seen as the ambassador of the T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in West Indies and USA.

Shahid Afridi said, “See now money has come, things have changed. Earlier cricket was a game, but now it has become a business. It is very commercial, leagues are being organized everywhere in the world. There is money in cricket. Honestly, IPL has opened the eyes of all the leagues.”
Afridi said that earlier there was money in county cricket too, but for that the players had to play a 6-month long season and red ball cricket was promoted.
According to Afridi, there is money in every league because things have progressed to the professional level. There is money and players are earning a lot. In such a situation, if a player is not able to play for his national team, then he can earn money by playing in various leagues around the world, which is a good thing according to Afridi.
