Ever since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been helping the Afghanistan Cricket Board. In such a situation, now the Afghanistan team is ready to play its first Test match with New Zealand. Afghanistan is not playing any bilateral series at home. Due to this, the Afghanistan team is going to play its first Test match against New Zealand on Indian soil.
The match can be played in Greater Noida
According to a report, BCCI is the only cricket board that has been helping Afghanistan since the Taliban took over. According to reports, Afghanistan may play its only Test match at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida. The match is expected to be held in September. After this, New Zealand has to play a 3-match Test series with Team India in India. Which can be organized in October and November.
BCCI gives green signal to Afghanistan
According to reports, BCCI has given the green signal to Afghanistan to host its matches. Afghanistan was supposed to play ODI and Test series with Bangladesh in July itself but this series could not happen.
