On the first day of the one-off Test match against Ireland, the first innings of the Afghanistan team was reduced to 155 runs. Against which, by the end of the game, the Irish team had scored 100 runs for four wickets in the first innings. At the time of stump, Harry Tector was playing on 32 runs and Paul Stirling was playing on two runs off 64 balls. Opener Curtis Kemper was out after scoring 49 runs in 64 balls. Zia ur Rehman took two wickets for 13 runs. Earlier, for the Afghan team, opener Ibrahim Zadran contributed 53 runs on 93 balls and Karim Janat contributed unbeaten 41 runs on 78 balls. Mark Adair bowled lethally for Ireland and took five wickets for 39 runs. Interestingly, the test ground was changed for the school level match.
