Amritsar: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has taken strong notice of the construction of a replica of Sachkhand Sri Harimandir Sahib for Ganpati festival in Camp area of Pune, Maharashtra for hurting Sikh sentiments. Action has been announced
Advocate Dhami said that according to the information received from the devotees, this pandal has been built for Ganpati Puja in the Camp area of Pune city, which is exactly on the lines of Sachkhand Shri Harmandir Sahib. He said that according to the Sikh community of Pune, the management committee of the city's Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar Camp Area is playing a leading role in this work, which is even more sad. He said that some people deliberately copy historical places related to Sikhism, which hurts the religious sentiments of the devotees.
The Shiromani Committee president said that this action is against Sikh customs, traditions and principles and has hurt the religious sentiments of the Sangat. He said that Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib cannot be copied.
Those who did this should have understood the Sikh traditions, beliefs and the sentiments of the Sangat. Advocate Dhami said that the Shiromani Committee is sending a team to Pune for investigation in this regard. He also expressed concern over such anti-Sikh activities in the present times and asked the local Gurudwara committees to try to stop such activities on the spot and not be a part of it.
Advocate Dhami said that the matter will be investigated and if the Gurudwara Committee is also found guilty then a letter will be written to Sri Akal Takht Sahib for action. He appealed to the Sangat that such cases should be immediately brought to the notice of the Sikh organization Shiromani Committee.
