Kendriya Vidyalaya is known for better education, extra-curricular activities, trained faculty and low fees. These have been included in the list of best government schools (Top Government Schools). Kendriya Vidyalaya offers admission to students from class 1 to 11. There is also strictness regarding age limit here. KVS Admission 2024: What should be the age till 31st March for admission in KV?

For admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya, age as on 31st March in that session is taken into consideration. If the child is born on 01 April then that age is also considered. At the same time, in some cases, especially for disabled children, the principal can give relaxation of 2 years in admission. For this, parents will have to compulsorily submit birth certificate as well as disability certificate for age certificate.

KVS Admission Age Limit: What is the age limit for admission?

Kendriya Vidyalaya is operated by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Here the rules made by the Education Department of the Central Government are followed. Know what should be the age of children from class 1 to 11 at the time of admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya-

• Class 1 (KVS Class 1 Age Limit) – Age should be 6 years as on 31st March. Admission will be available till the age below 8 years.
• Class 2 (KVS Class 2 Age Limit) – 7 years and below 9 years.
• Class 3 (KVS Class 3 Age Limit) – 7 years and below 9 years.
• Class 4 (KVS Class 4 Age Limit) – 8 years and below 10 years.
• Class 5 (KVS Class 5 Age Limit) – 9 years and below 11 years.
• Class 6 (KVS Class 6 Age Limit) – 10 years and below 12 years.
• Class 7 (KVS Class 7 Age Limit) – 11 years and below 13 years.
• Class 8 (KVS Class 8 Age Limit) – 12 years and below 14 years.
• Class 9 (KVS Class 9 Age Limit) – 13 years and below 15 years.
• Class 10 (KVS Class 10 Age Limit) – 14 years and below 16 years.
• Class 11 (KVS Class 11 Age Limit)- There is no minimum or maximum age limit for admission in it. Only the student should have passed 10th in the same year.
